✨ Temple Story ✨

According to the sacred traditions of Braj, Kusum Sarovar is the place where Shri Radha Rani and the Gopis came every day to collect beautiful flowers for worship and decoration. During these visits, Lord Krishna would often meet them, and many divine pastimes took place along the banks of the sacred lake. The present sandstone monuments were built in the eighteenth century by the Jat rulers of Bharatpur in memory of Maharaja Suraj Mal and members of the royal family. Their magnificent architecture has made Kusum Sarovar one of the finest heritage monuments in the Braj region. Today, Kusum Sarovar is cherished as both a sacred pilgrimage destination and a remarkable historical landmark. Devotees and visitors come here to experience its spiritual atmosphere, admire its grand architecture, and enjoy the peaceful beauty of the sacred lake.
