According to ancient tradition, after Lord Shri Ram returned to Ayodhya following his victory over Ravana, Lord Hanuman chose to remain in Ayodhya to protect the holy city and continue serving Lord Ram. The place where Hanuman is believed to have stayed later became known as Hanuman Garhi. The main shrine houses a revered idol of Lord Hanuman along with a smaller idol of young Ram Lalla seated on his lap, symbolizing the eternal devotion of Hanuman toward Lord Shri Ram. Devotees believe that visiting Hanuman Garhi before Ram Mandir brings spiritual blessings and makes the pilgrimage complete. Today, Hanuman Garhi remains one of the most visited temples in Ayodhya. Thousands of pilgrims come every day to offer prayers, chant the Hanuman Chalisa, and seek the blessings of Lord Hanuman for strength, courage, protection, and devotion.
